Crawlspace Encapsulation

Crawlspace Encapsulation

Protect your family and home from the ground up

COMMON CRAWL SPACE PROBLEM SIGNS

If your crawl space starts to deteriorate, has mold growth, or has structural problems, it will extend to the rest of your house. At Morgan Restoration, we specialize in all kinds of crawlspace issues.

High humidity and condensation in your crawlspace causes mold and wood rot. It’s a major issue for the health of your family and the structural integrity of your home.

Rotted floor joists are an indication of larger problems in your home that, if not addressed quickly, can lead to even more harm.

Standing water is a serious problem for any crawl space. This water can remain for weeks, months, or even years, causing rot, mold, musty odors, and a variety of other problems.

Mold growth in your crawl space is caused by high humidity, condensation, standing water, decay, or a combination of these common factors. This mold will quickly spread throughout your home. Not only is mold a huge risk to your entire home, but it’s also harmful to you and your entire family. Your family might be breathing it in every single day.

The Health Effects of Mold

Over half of the air in your home comes from the crawlspace. If your crawlspace contains mold, then the air you are breathing contains mold. This leads to a slew of health issues, including the following:

Level 1 – Early Exposure to Mold

Headaches, Eye Irritation, Sneezing, Itching

Level 2 – Advanced Exposure to Mold

Breathing disorders, Chronic sinusitis or bronchitis, Arthritis-like Symptoms, Asthma, Heart Palpitations, Chronic Fatigue, Depression

Level 3 – Long Term Exposure

Blindness, COPD, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, Long-term Memory Loss, Bleeding Lungs, Kidney Failure, Liver Disease, Cancer, Death

These are only some of the symptoms of mold exposure that an individual may exhibit.

PREVENT THE DAMAGING EFFECTS OF MOLD IN YOUR CRAWLSPACE

Mold may develop on any surface as long as there is moisture, oxygen, and an organic source. Leading to rot and musty, offensive odors. Worst of all, because your crawlspace provides nearly 50% of the air in your home, dampness and mold under your home can have a significant impact on the air quality in your home.
